Over the years Crew heavily invested in the installation of 52 gas meters to gather daily gas vented volumes at its heavy oil operations to measure and forecast emissions proactively, accurately, and consistently. (Heavy Oil Assets sold as of August 1, 2021)
These meters proactively determined which sites were not meeting regulatory requirements, alerting Crew if further action was required to reduce venting.
Gas meters were operating on approximately 45% of Crew’s producing heavy oil sites.
