High-bleed pneumatic devices are sources of methane emissions. As part of normal operations, these devices provide energy for well site instrumentation and control systems, and release natural gas to the atmosphere.
Instrument Air Generation Equipment
Crew has installed instrument air generation equipment (utilizing compressed air as a substitute for natural gas) at all greenfield sites to eliminate venting from natural gas driven pneumatic devices.
Westgen Generator Instrument Air Package provides cost effective air and power generation while eliminating GHG venting from pneumatic devices. Additionally, it reliably provides power and clean dry instrument air to a wellsite using solar power and natural gas as a backup.
Both initiatives have enabled Crew to greatly reduce the amount of routine methane venting that previously occurred due to the operation of pneumatics devices.
